Almost Done!!!

August 28th, 2007 by anne071974

Today I finished sealing the concrete floor in the garage.  Luckily I did it early this morning so it was nice and dry after lunch.

I also put together the second white cabinet and moved my table in.  All that’s left to do is get some more pvc pipes, cut them to size, and put them in the white cabinets and they’ll store my glass.  I counted how many glass colours I have yesterday, to see how many pipes I’ll need.  I have over 130 colours!!  With more on the way!!!  And that’s not including the jar of reichenbach glass and other odd ones.

I did saw one of the pipes to size, but stuff that!  I’m going to hire one of those circular saw thingys and use that, much quicker and easier!  I’ve discovered I can’t saw in a straight line lol

Anyway, here’s a pic from late this afternoon.  Will probably take some better photos tomorrow when the sun isn’t glaring inside.

Online Jewellery Parties

August 24th, 2007 by anne071974

Love receiving free jewellery?

Would you love to host a jewellery party and just don’t have the time?

Do your friends and family live too far away?

Then host one online at http://annedundas.com/jewellery

How it works:

  • You will receive an invitation via email from Anne, which you can email to all your friends and family.
  • You can also print it out if you like and pass it on to your co-workers, other mum’s at school, etc.
  • Don’t forget to include your friends and family from overseas!
  • The more guests the better! Even have your friends invite their other friends!
  • On the invitations will be a ‘Party Code’, your guests are to enter this code during the check out on the website.
  • The code will give your guests 5% off anything they purchase , as well as entering them into the draw to win a free gift.
  • Also, as Anne creates mostly one-of-a-kind pieces, it is advisable that you let her know if you have your eye on a particular piece of jewellery for yourself. That way Anne can put it aside, so that none of your guests can purchase it before you.
  • The party will last a whole week (Sunday to Sunday) so there is plenty of time for your guests to purchase.
  • At the end of the week, Anne will email you to let you know how the party went, and to let you know how much your gift voucher is worth and the voucher code.
  • Then you have fun spending your voucher, purchasing some beautiful jewellery for yourself! Simple!
  • Because the party is online, there is no need to prepare any food or drinks, no need to get your home sparkling, you can even party in your pj’s!

What you, as the hostess, receives:

  • You will receive a gift voucher worth 15% of the total party sales, so the more your guests buy, the higher the value of the gift voucher. E.g., the total party sales are $100, your gift voucher will be $15; total party sales are $300, your gift voucher will be $45; total party sales are $500, your gift voucher will be $75. All for just sending out invitations!
  • In addition, if the total party sales reach $100, you will receive a free gift worth up to $40.

What do you need to do to host a jewellery party?

Simply email Anne at jewellery at annedundas.com and arrange a week to hold the party. Anne will email you an invitation for you to send out. Towards the end of the party Anne will also email you a reminder to forward on, for those that may of forgotten about the party.

Just an Update…

August 19th, 2007 by anne071974

Currently, I’m still working on fixing the garage up to move my lampwork studio into.

All I really have left to do is seal the concrete floor, then I can move my torch in and set it all up.  I want to seal the floor because the concrete really makes a lot of dust, it’s amazing how much actually!  If I dont seal it, it’ll settle on my glass and all the surfaces, not to mention I doubt it’d be lovely to breath in!  I’m just delayed in the sealing because it’s been raining and the floor wont dry quickly in wet weather.

After that, I just have a small cabinet to put together, cut the pvc tubes that will store my glass, and a few other things then I’ll be ready to melt some glass!  WOOHOO!  I can’t wait to have all that room and to actually see what glass I have available at a glance.

New Graphics

August 13th, 2007 by anne071974

I have some new graphics completed.

The first, Love.Julz, was completed a couple of weeks ago.  I really love the vibrant pink colour, my instructions were basically, pink, with a heart, and pretty.

The second, Third Rock, I completed today.  I was given a photograph of the cab with no other directions really, and I’m rather pleased how it turned out.

Lampwork Pendants

August 9th, 2007 by anne071974

Well here are the six lampwork pendants I created just before my computer went down.  I had fun putting these together.  I actually cleaned up my beading desk before making them, and it was so nice and comfortable to work at LOL

What happened to me…

August 9th, 2007 by anne071974

I know I’ve been extremely quiet lately,  I do have a good reason though.  Well, two actually.

Firstly, I’ve been clearing out the garage to move my lampworking into there.  It’s been alot a work as the garage has been a collection area for all types of junk from the house.  Not to mention the spiders, dead mice, etc..  ick!  When it’s all complete I’ll be sure to show you the before and after photos.  You’ll be amazed at the difference! LOL

Secondly, I got a bugger of a computer virus!  I could not get rid of it off my computer at all.  I spose it was good timing though, as I was planning on upgrading to a new one soon anyway.  So I’ve gone from a laptop to a desktop with a widescreen flat monitor.  Woohoo!!  No more eye strain at all.  I just have to get used to the fact that my graphics look so much bigger lol  I’m in the process of transferring all my important files and programs across, so will hopefully be fully functional again by the beginning of next week.

Before everything happened I managed to make up several lampwork pendants.  I’ll be adding those to my site shortly and shall write another post here about them then.
