I’ve decided to close my Etsy store and concentrate on my website. 

I’m really going to miss the people of the Etsy Glass Artists team and Down Under street team.  That’s really the only thing I regret about leaving.

My store will be open til the end of this week, while I finish up a transaction.  Those of you that have purchased items through my Etsy store, I’d like to thank you for your support over the two years.

With the last couple of days being cooler, I’ve managed to have some torching time.  So thought I’d just play and stock up on some beads.  I wont be listing any of these until the end of the month though, so hopefully by the time it rolls round there will be a heap of new stuff to check out!

I forgot to mention that I’m the featured artist this month/last month on the Etsy Glass Artists website!

Terrible photo I know, I was laughing about something with Sharyn Preisig at the get together after last years Bead & Gem Show in Sydney.

From now on, rather than charging a set amount for an item designed, I shall be charging by the amount of time I work on the graphic.

I will be charging at the rate of $18.00 per hour.

Eg. If it only takes me 30 minutes to complete your graphic, you will be charged $9.00, or if it takes 4 hours, you will be charged $72.00. 

I will keep a log of the time I work and it will be detailed when I give you the total due.

Well I’m all finished!  Yay!  My website now has a consistant look that I’m very pleased with.  I do love the lush plummy colour I used.

It’s amazing how nerve wracking it can be fiddling around with the coding on the website, one little mistake can stuff the whole thing up completely.

Now that that’s completed, I have a graphic job to complete, a custom jewellery order to make up and send, then I can enjoy my break this month.  Hmmm, why do I have the feeling there’s something else I need to do as well…. lol Oh well, I’m sure it’ll come to me!

Anyway, I hope you all like the new look site.  I’d love some feedback.

I’ve changed the layout of my graphics site to a blog style.  By doing this you will easily see what my latest designs are, and it will be much easier for me to keep updated.  No more messing around with html coding!  lol

I hope you all like what I’ve done!

 

Well as you can see, I couldn’t resist and I’ve started giving my website a new look.  So far I’ve only completed the blog and the main index page.  I just realised that the colour I’ve chosen is along the lines of what I had on my lampwork site already, so it just needs some minor tweaks. 

I suppose I really should update the carts before I go fiddling with the colours anymore, knowing my luck the update will change everything back to the original zencart colours! Bah!  I hope not!!!  Well, I’ll start that next week.

It’s going to be interesting to see how I work my graphics site into it, as my html coding knowledge is very limited!!  Ahh well!  Can only try!

 

Firstly, I’d like to wish everyone a Happy New Year!!  I hope you all have a wonderful and successful 2008!

This month, I will be updating the carts on my website, and then having a bit of a break.  I feel the need to recharge.  I’m not saying that I won’t be making any beads, as knowing me, I won’t be able to resist the call of the flame!  But I won’t be listing anything new for January. 

Hopefully, the website updates will go smoothly and I don’t go insane trying to work them out.  LOL  I’m also contemplating a new look for my website.  I’m not sure if I’ll go ahead with it or not yet, may just have a play around and see.
