I spose you are all wondering what I have been up to…

Well, besides sporadic torching, I’ve set up an e-commerce website for Desi Rentos, of Metamorphi Glass Art!  I started it at the beginning of this month, and I’m pleased to announce that Desi has now ‘gone live’.  Desi wanted a basic black and white design, very clean and straight forward.  I managed to sneak in a hint of colour though so it didn’t appear too stark.  Luckily she loves the hint of colour and asian feel to the images.

So far the feedback on the design and look has been very positive!  It’s still showing that it is under construction, as Desi is still adding her products to the site in between studies at Uni.  Desi is now the Australian authorised dealer for CiM (Creation is Messy) glass.  She’ll also have available ASK and Lauscha glass rods, as well as some gorgeous Effetre dichroic strips and stringers, as well as a host of other goodies.

I’ve also been organising an initiative to get beaders/jewellery designers to buy Australian.  Some Aussie beading suppliers have joined forces to help promote each other through sheets of coupons.  Each sheet has 20 coupons from different Australian suppliers, with special offers and discounts. 

This has the potential to reach 5000 customers, all existing beaders/jewellery designers.  Both the seller and the buyer win in this situation, the seller gets new customers and the buyers save with the offers and discounts.

The first batch of coupons should be ready mid March.  If the results are a success, then it will become a regular occurance throughout the year.  Possibly every 3 or 4 months a new sheet will be released with new suppliers and new offers.  I also may look into setting up the coupons for Australian indie designers/sellers, there is alot of people out there with a wide range of products and styles that could greatly benefit from this sort of cross promotion.

I’ll be sure to let you all know when the coupons are in circulation and how they go!

These beads remind me so much of chocolate easter eggs decorated with that hard candy icing!!  I keep eyeing them on my desk lol

They’re lightly etch too for a lovely soft matt finish so they look even more yummy!

 

 

I’ve also listed one set on Ebay.  I’m really in love with this set, I finally got dichroic glass to look gorgeous on a bead, before it was very hit and miss.

 

 

Well I am officially addicted to swirls!!  LOL  I just listed some sets featuring raised swirls and dots, as well as two custom orders.  Oh also have a focal bead there as well!
