Beads!!!

I made beads!!!! weeeeee!!!! LOL
When I was cleaning up the garage where I torch, I decided to join together all my little short ends of glass rods. To use them all up, I made up a whole heap (almost 1kg!!) of round/donut beads with raku frit. They’re all different sizes, and the bead holes vary too as I used different width mandrels. As I just kept winding on the glass at each join, some beads have more than one colour on them.
I’ve also decided not to use the acid for etching my beads if I can help it. So from now on, most beads that I etch will be done in the tumbler. Surprisingly, it only takes about an hour to knock the shine off. And they feel so much better tumbled than what they do with the acid. The acid actually eats into the glass, and you can end up with pitting, whilst the tumbled beads feel so smooth still, almost suede-like.
I grouped the beads together in colours, and have popped them on my site as sets. I decided this would be better than doing a lucky dip type thing LOL Already, someone has nabbed the pink set LOL
Below are my two all-time favourite beads from the lot. Though there are alot more there that I like too. Please scuse the rough fingers LOL
